LEAST WE FORGET KATRINA – CATEGORY 3 – AUGUST 29, 2006
ByHurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast as a Category 3. But the damages it caused still live on today four years later. She hit east of New Orleans at 9:45 a.m. August 29, 2006 causing 50 breaches in the drainage canal levees and also in the Navigational Canal levees. She caused the worst engineering disaster in the history of the United States, bot to menion death and destruction to so many citizens who still are suffering from the damages Katrina caused.
